Im sorry Ive been a bit MIA lately. Im feeling better, but the congestion and headache still are sticking around. Ive pretty much had a headache since last Wednesday. After awhile you kind of get used to it.
Our lives have been a bit crazy over the past week or so. We've decided to look for a new home, and finally decided to take the first step: meeting with our realtor, and looking at houses. So on Tuesday afternoon we skipped Eli's nap (which Ill get to that later!!) and went and looked at 8 houses. We were quite sadly disappointed with almost all of them! Nothing really caught our eye too much, and we were shocked at the state people list their homes in. We went home feeling a tad bit discouraged, but had one house we were considering... kind of. After a lot of talking and discussion we decided to go look at it again. So off we went yesterday. This house is actually just down the road from where we live, and has been on the market for 90 days. Its basically sitting empty. It has new siding, basement has been re done. its 1400 sq ft. 6 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. The half bath is in the master bedroom, but there is definitely space to make it a full bath... lucky for me I know a plumber who does some pretty good work!! It also has a double car garage in the back, and a large yard that Eli didn't want to leave because he collecting pine cones. After looking at it again we decided to make an offer. We went back and forth only twice and came to an agreement. So now we're pending and have a week of waiting. So much stuff has to fall into place in order for this all to happen!! We asked for a possession date of March 15th, (yes like 6 weeks away!!) and in between now and then we have to get some things fixed up around here, find tenants to rent our duplex, and have the financing as well as inspection go A-OK! Thats alot of stuff to fall into place, but we've been praying that if its meant to be, and its God's will, al the details will fall into place. So if you think of us over the next week, and want to say a little prayer for us, we'd really appreciate it!
So onto other things... Eli's sleeping schedule! These days, he's been napping during the day (usually with no problem!!) and then wont go to sleep until 9:30-10pm ish!! Waaaaaay to late in my opinion. Then he gets up at 7am (way to early, for the time he's going to sleep) and it starts all over. Kinda like a viscous cycle. The past few days Ive put Eli down for his nap, but instead of sleeping he quietly looked at books, and kept himself entertained. However he's still not going to bed much earlier. So I dont know, seems like this sleeping thing (weather 3 months or 3 years!!) is always an issue and something to figure out.
Thats been the latest in our lives right now. Ill keep you posted on how things go with the house!!

Good luck with the house thing. I know we're constantly wrestling with "move to a bigger house or fix up the one we've got" thing. Right now, I guess we'll stay. I hope your house works out great!

Eli may be done with naps. You need to decide if you want "your time" to be in the afternoon or in the evenings... He can always still have some quiet play time in his room in the afternoons to give you a break!
